Call for abstracts

KESSA Conference in Atlanta, Georgia

The Kenya Scholars and Studies Association (KESSA) is excited to announce the call for abstracts for our upcoming 2024 conference. This event, taking place in the vibrant city of Atlanta, Georgia, is an excellent opportunity for scholars from various disciplines to present their research and insights. We welcome submissions from the Social Sciences, Physical Sciences, Humanities, Education, Business, and more.

Types of Presentations:

  • Keynote Speakers
  • Invited Panels/Speakers
  • Papers
  • Panels
  • Corporate Showcases & Demonstrations
  • Workshops
  • Roundtables

Abstract Submission Details:

  • Presentation title required.
  • Limit abstracts to 250 words.
  • Ensure abstracts are free from spelling, grammatical, and typographical errors.
  • Abstracts should clearly convey research results, avoiding excessive jargon to accommodate our interdisciplinary audience. Please omit references, citations, and abbreviations from the abstract body.

Important Deadlines:

  • For international submissions requiring visas: Friday, 1st March 2024
  • General submission deadline: **Friday, 24th May 2024, 11:59 pm

Guidelines for Organized Sessions:

  • Proposals for organized paper sessions, panels, and round-table discussions are welcome.
  • A single organized session should include no more than 4 papers.
  • Session organizers are responsible for identifying all participants and submitting all session abstracts collectively.
  • Each abstract within the session must adhere to the provided guidelines.

Submission Process:

  • All abstracts should be submitted electronically via the KESSA website.
  • Include author(s) contact information and institutional affiliation.
  • If applicable, list names and institutional affiliations of co-presenters.
  • By submitting an abstract, you agree to allow KESSA to include it in the conference program and potentially disseminate it electronically.
